Water Infiltration through Basement Walls in Laval-des-Rapides, QC
Challenge
Our client, Mr. Claude, residing in the city of Laval-des-Rapides, was facing a crack in the basement (foundation) that allowed water to penetrate during snowmelt and rains. He wanted to solve this problem as it had persisted for some time, and he had unsuccessfully attempted to repair it with ineffective products.
Resolution
In this case, our company, Sous-Sol Confort, used our polyurethane-based product, which we injected into the crack. We offer a highly effective solution by injecting a liquid resin under high pressure directly into the crack, thus filling the space with a waterproof and impermeable material. We only need to drill a few entry points on each side of the crack along its length to seal the breach. Then, we cover the crack with a polyurethane-based coating for a nice light gray finish that harmonizes with the surrounding concrete.
This protection is permanent and very effective.
