Sump Pump and Backup Pump Installation in the Basement in Sainte-Rose, QC
Challenge
Mrs. Corbain recently noticed significant issues with her sump pump system: it was excessively noisy and unreliable, frequently shutting down. These difficulties raised concerns about the pump's performance and reliability, especially during heavy rains or in the spring. She was actively seeking a solution to prevent any risk of water infiltration or flooding in her basement.
Resolution
Our client contacted Sous-Sol Confort to explore different options for sump pump systems.
To address Mrs. Corbain's issues, our specialists opted to replace her sump pump with our Double Protection sump pump system. This system includes a powerful ⅓ HP Zoeller sump pump, capable of pumping up to 8,500 liters of water per hour out of the basement, even at an 8-foot height. Additionally, a battery backup sump pump, the Aquanot Spin 508, can discharge over 43,000 liters of water on a single battery charge. To initiate the installation of the SumPlus sump pump system, we integrated a basin in the floor, a battery-powered alarm that sounds automatically when the water level exceeds the threshold at which the pump should normally activate, and finally, a tight-sealing lid.
The sump pump system then discharges water outside the house through a separate SafeGard discharge line that was successfully installed. Thanks to this solution, the sump pump system continues to operate even in the event of a power outage, eliminating any risk of water infiltration.
