Challenge

Our client, Mr. Popusoi, is facing water infiltration issues in his basement due to heavy rains and snowmelt. She is seeking a solution to address these problems and wants to enjoy a dry and comfortable basement.

Resolution

At Sous-Sol Confort Inc., we offer a comprehensive solution for waterproofing the home's foundation. We begin with a free on-site assessment to better understand the problem. Then, we recommend an exterior foundation waterproofing solution to prevent future damage. We start by excavating around the foundation to access the area that needs treatment. Next, we apply an elastomeric membrane called Resisto to prevent water from entering the foundation. We then install a second rigid membrane called Delta MS, which directs water to the French drain. We pay great attention to the precise installation of the drain to ensure optimal performance. We use quality materials to prevent soil infiltration and other unwanted materials. Additionally, we add a 30 cm layer of gravel to enhance surface water drainage. Finally, we cover the drain with geotextile to maintain the cleanliness of the stones and ensure unobstructed drainage. To complete the solution, we install a SumPlus sump pump equipped with an exterior discharge line that directs water away from the foundation. We also implement a SafeGard drainage system that allows water to flow in case of freezing or blockage of the pipes.
