Repairing Internal Foundation Crack in Laval-Ouest, QC
Challenge
Our client, Mr. Marc, residing in Laval-Ouest, was facing a crack in the foundation that allowed water to infiltrate during snowmelt and rains. This problem, persisting for some time, could not be resolved despite several unsuccessful attempts with ineffective products.
Resolution
To address this situation, Sous-Sol Confort proposed a durable solution using a polyurethane-based product injected directly into the crack under high pressure.
Here are the steps of our intervention:
- High-pressure injection: We inject a polyurethane-based liquid resin into the crack, which completely fills the space and creates a waterproof and impermeable barrier.
- Preparation of entry points: Entry points are drilled on each side of the crack along its entire length to allow precise and uniform sealing.
- Careful finishing: Once the crack is sealed, we apply a polyurethane-based coating to achieve a light gray finish that harmonizes with the surrounding concrete.
This process guarantees permanent and highly effective protection against water infiltration, thus eliminating the problem definitively.
