Challenge

Mr. Eddie is facing various issues in his crawl space, including excessive humidity and failing insulation. He is looking for a long-term solution to address the humidity, save energy, and reinforce the flooring.

Resolution

After a free inspection, our specialists recommended installing a SuperJack support system to stabilize and level the floor joists as well as the main beams.

Next, we propose a complete encapsulation system for the crawl space floor, including:

• Laying the Delta MS drainage membrane to facilitate the evacuation of infiltrated water.
• Installing the Pro-20 mm vapor barrier membrane, a polyethylene membrane with a thick 20 mm plastic coating, effectively isolating the crawl space from household humidity.
• Installing thermal insulation panels on the walls with Iso Foil R-11 to minimize heat loss and achieve energy savings.

To complete this solution, a SumpPlus sump pump system will be installed with a hermetically sealed cover.
