Mr. Anthony Montecalvo is facing issues of water infiltration into his basement due to heavy rains and snowmelt. The client is looking for a solution to address these problems and wishes to have a dry and comfortable basement.

Resolution

At Sous-Sol Confort Inc., we offer a comprehensive solution for waterproofing the foundation of the house. We begin with an on-site free assessment to better understand the issue. Then, we recommend an exterior foundation waterproofing solution to prevent any future damage. We start by excavating the foundation to access the area to be treated. Then, we apply a liquid membrane called Tar to prevent water from penetrating the foundation. Next, we install a second rigid membrane called Delta MS, which directs water to the French drain. We place great importance on the precise installation of the drain to ensure optimal performance. We use quality materials to prevent soil infiltrations and other unwanted materials. Additionally, we add a 30 cm layer of gravel to enhance surface water drainage. Finally, we cover the drain with a geotextile to maintain stone cleanliness and ensure unobstructed drainage. To complete the solution, we install a SumPlus sump pump equipped with an exterior discharge line that moves water away from the foundation. We also implement a SafeGard drainage system that allows water to flow in case of freezing or conduit blockage.
