Our solution involves waterproofing the foundation from the outside to fix the considerable damage to the house. We start by clearing the foundation to access the space that needs to be excavated. Once the area is excavated, we apply our liquid membrane called Goudron. Then, we let this membrane dry before installing our second membrane called Delta MS, which is a rigid membrane that guides water towards the French drain. During the installation of the drain, we take measures to avoid infiltration of soil and other unwanted materials by covering the drain with an effective filter and installing control chimneys to facilitate future inspections. We install the drain with precision to ensure optimal performance and add 30 cm of gravel to reinforce surface water drainage. Then, we use a geotextile to cover the drain to preserve the cleanliness of the stones and ensure unobstructed drainage. Once the work is completed, we install the SumPlus sump pump with an exterior discharge line to expel water away from the foundation. We also connect a Safe Guard evacuation system to the exterior discharge line. This system allows water to escape if the conduits freeze or become blocked for any reason. This very effective system allows our client to have a dry basement and enjoy his comfort in all seasons.
